The Hand of the Architect

Moleskine® present a catalogue-style book collecting 378 full-colour illustrations consisting of sketches and drawings from a selection of internationally acclaimed architects. All the sketches have been charitably donated to raise funds for the restoration and public opening of one of Portaluppi's masterpieces – the Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan – by the FAI, the Italian fund for the environment.

Complementing the new A4 Moleskine® "Folio" format, the collection also contains interesting and previously unpublished essays that explore drawing and sketching as the most important tools at the architect's disposal, as well as being the root of the design process and a metaphor for any creative endeavour.
